Preparations are underway for the fourth Evergreen Invitational, an equestrian Grand Prix show jumping event that serves as one of the premier fundraising events for Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Founded by MK Pritzker and hosted for the second time in partnership with The Woman’s Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Evergreen Invitational has raised $3 million to date for historically-underfunded programs and research for women’s health services throughout the Chicago area. Veteran Woman’s Board members, Christy Cressey and Joan Moore will co-chair the 2012 Evergreen Invitational event.

Widely acknowledged as one of the most exciting events of the Olympic Games, Grand Prix show jumping is popular throughout Europe and is quickly gaining momentum in the U.S. As such, the Evergreen Invitational is not only helping underserved populations in the local community, but is also raising awareness for this world-class sport in Chicago.

In 2010, MK Pritzker and The Woman’s Board joined together (for the first time) to host the third Evergreen Invitational, combining a strong legacy of compassionate care with a fresh fundraising concept. The 2010 Invitational was a tremendous success - raising more than $1 million net for innovative programs and research studies at Northwestern Memorial Hospital that further explore and address important women’s health issues.
