EXCITING PARTNERSHIP
EVERGREEN INVITATIONAL 2010 PARTNERS WITH
THE WOMAN'S BOARD OF
NORTHWESTERN MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
In a departure from its fundraising tradition, The Woman’s Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital announced it will partner with the 2010 Evergreen Invitational in support of programs at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
The partnership represents the first time in its over 100 year history that the The Woman’s Board has worked to raise funds for a project other than their own planned initiatives on behalf of the hospital.
“We believe the Evergreen Invitational is an opportunity to become involved in a a new, vibrant event with national and even international recognition,” said Gabriela Cleveland, Board President. “It’s one more avenue that will put the hospital front and center.”
M.K. Pritzker, founder of the Evergreen Invitational, agreed.
“Over the years, The Woman’s Board has done such wonderful, really important work for the hospital, and I’m delighted they will be partnering with us this year,” she said. “Our missions are beautifully aligned.”
Since its formation in 1897, The Woman’s Board has raised millions of dollars in support of patient care, hospital programs and facilities, research and community outreach projects, including funding for the first HIV Clinic for women in Chicago.
“The partnership between the Evergreen Invitational and The Woman’s Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital demonstrates the continuing positive impact of our Affiliated Organizations on the broader community, “ said Stephen Falk, President of the Northwestern Memorial Foundation. “Both groups strive to provide access to those in need, and by joining together, they will dramatically enhance the benefits available.”
